Meraki Business Development Specialist

Contract to Permanent (Full Time)

Overview

The primary focus of this role is to identify, drive, develop and close Meraki opportunities in both existing as well as Ultima net new accounts.

This is a proactive role and would incorporate a large element of demand generation, including but not limited to: running sales campaigns, engaging with Marketing around new messaging, working with the Vendor Alliance Managers on arranging and running sales training, and proactively engaging with customers where needed to generate pipeline.

Due to the broad range of solutions offered by Ultima the successful applicant would be expected to be the subject matter expert on all things relating to Meraki, supporting the sales team as needed for licensing & infrastructure, commercial pricing models and product queries.

The role would normally be internally based within the Reading and London sites to service the sales team (Internal and External) with required support across Cisco Meraki’s full portfolio. Due to the current COVID-19 situation this will initially be a homeworking position with potential flexibility in future dependant on wider circumstances.

The role will be measured quarterly against an agreed revenue target incorporating organic as well as incremental growth.

The successful applicant will be expected to support driving and achieving the all up Cisco number.

Responsibilities

Be the subject matter expert within Ultima on all things relating to Meraki’s products, services, and messaging.

Understand customer needs and ensure solutions which meet these are scoped, positioned and sold.

Work closely with Ultima’s technical resource to ensure all aspects of customer engagements are fulfilled successfully.

Be Meraki’s evangelist, both internally within Ultima and externally to customers.

Network within Meraki, building rapport with members of their team at all levels to influence and support deals.

Proactively work with the Ultima sales / marketing team and end customers to generate Meraki pipeline.

Maintain a current and up to date sales pipeline, providing regular management updates where needed.

Work to proactively fulfil sales queries and requests using both internal and external contacts where appropriate to support these.

Accurately size solutions to ensure these fulfil both commercial and technical requirements.

Support enablement of the Ultima Sales team where necessary to ensure they are aware of the latest messaging from Meraki.

Assist in gaining sales focused vendor accreditations.
